The Company

A boutique general contractor that works as one team.

Since 1997, out of Georgetown. The president, operations, estimating and accounting work every project together — with the owner and the consultants in the same conversation.

The Everstrong advantage

Why owners and architects keep us on the shortlist.

Three strengths, each backed by the project record.

Relationship management

Owners, architects and sub-trades are kept informed throughout the build. Issues are flagged early, and the relationship — not a heroic schedule — is what gets a project to close out.

Your choice of delivery model

General contracting, construction management or design-build — the same team and the same reporting, whichever contract the owner chooses.

Transparent accountability

Repeat-design schools delivered under budget. Cash allowance savings returned at Pacific Circle. A documented safety program on every site.

How the team is built

How our team works together.

Everstrong runs every project as one team, the way Toyota runs a project room: the people who price the job, build it and account for it work on it together, with the same information. Estimating hands the job to the project team directly. Accounting tracks cost as it happens. The President is hands-on with estimating, the project team and the controller on every job, and accounting works closely with the project managers. Sub-trades deal with the right person at each stage — estimating to price, the project team on site, and accounting for payment: invoices go in with their documentation, payment comes back out.

  • PresidentHands-on in every project: signs every bid, works alongside estimating, projects and the controller, and knows every owner by name.
  • VP ProjectsLeads project delivery — project managers, schedules, and reporting to owners and consultants through project close out.
  • VP OperationsRuns the operations behind every site — superintendents, the equipment fleet, safety and resourcing.
  • Head of EstimatingPrices the work with sub-trade input by division, and tracks every addendum.
  • ControllerCost, billing and holdbacks, with the accounting team working closely with the project teams — tracked as the job happens.
  • Sub-tradesPrice with estimating at the start and work with the project team and superintendents on site. Invoices go to accounting with their documentation; payment comes back under the Construction Act.

How we work

From invitation to project close out.

  1. 01

    Invitation

Documents, scope, schedule and bonding reviewed with the President. The owner gets a clear yes or no on bidding.

Leads: Head of EstimatingWith: President · Owner & consultants
  2. 02

    Estimate & bid

Estimating starts the relationship with the sub-trades: invited by division, every addendum tracked to every plan taker, prices checked against cost history and signed off by the President.

Leads: Head of EstimatingWith: Sub-trades · VP Projects · President
  3. 03

    Award & pre-construction

Estimating hands the job directly to the project team. Subcontracts, submittals and shop drawings agreed with the sub-trades; baseline schedule and a cost plan the controller tracks from day one.

Leads: VP ProjectsWith: Estimating · Sub-trades · Controller
  4. 04

    Mobilize

Superintendent on site, safety orientation for every trade, site separation, and the owner's first progress report.

Leads: VP OperationsWith: VP Projects · Site superintendent · Sub-trades
  5. 05

    Build

Sub-trades work day to day with the project team and superintendent; RFIs and site reviews run through the consultants; accountants process progress billing and keep payments moving to the sub-trades under the Construction Act.

Leads: VP Projects & project teamWith: Sub-trades · Superintendents · Consultants · Accountants
  6. 06

    Project close out

Deficiencies and as-builts closed with the sub-trades, substantial performance certified by the consultant, holdback released and final accounts settled by accounting.

Leads: VP ProjectsWith: Sub-trades · Consultants · Accountants

    Warranty & lessons

Everstrong and its sub-trades come back through the warranty period — and what the job taught goes on record for the next one.

Construction Act

How payment moves on our projects.

Everstrong follows Ontario's Construction Act on every project — prompt payment, holdback, notices and adjudication. Payment moves through a chain: the owner, the consultant who reviews the work, Everstrong, and the sub-trades. Every link has to do its part.

Everstrong keeps that chain informed — following up with owners and consultants on outstanding invoices, issuing the notices the Act provides for, and telling sub-trades where their payment stands. Cash flow on a job site is everyone's schedule.

Holdback

10% statutory holdback, released as the Act and the contract provide — including the annual release on each contract anniversary — and passed down to sub-trades.

Notices

Notices of non-payment, holdback release and completion published as the Act requires — on time, in writing.

Adjudication

Disputes go to fast, binding interim adjudication through the Ontario Dispute Adjudication for Construction Contracts — not left to stall a job.

Accountable to the owner and to the consultant.

A successful build needs a capable general contractor, but it also needs the cooperation of every party involved — owners, consultants and sub-trades. Everstrong works as a team with architects and consultants: collaborative, not adversarial, with change requests kept low because clashes are solved on paper first.

Owners and architects are kept informed through the build, and the relationship is what carries a project to close out.
