About this project

The project

Complete interior renovation of Kingston's Central Branch library for the City of Kingston and Kingston Frontenac Public Library, designed by HDR: new mechanical, electrical and life-safety systems inside the preserved stone and brick building, a relocated main entrance, larger windows and a more open, daylit layout. Certified LEED ID+C v4 Gold — Kingston's first LEED-certified public library — with energy use at 55% of the national benchmark for a library.

How Everstrong works it

Owners, architects and sub-trades kept informed through the build — regular project updates, early flagging of issues, and a single point of contact from mobilization to project close out.
